Sault Triibe Should Build a New Casino Similar To Bay Mills in Vanderbilt, Michigan

The Romulus deal which is currently under referendum only makes me ask, what kind of board members do we have who aren't able to do this themselves?  And I say this only to the ones who voted for it.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.  I am sorry but they have only proven my words by their actions.

I would like to see the Sault Tribe open a casino like Bay Mills did in  Vanderbilt.  Late last year Bay Mills brought property along I-75 and then opened a casino without anyones approval.  Well they have appear to have a valid argument.  They used land claims money which can be used to buy land that will go into trust.  Google for more background information "bay mills vanderbilt casino."  The State of Michigan order Vanderbilt to shut down the casino, but Bay Mills kept their casino open.  The State of Michigan has not tried to shut them down, I believe because they know they can't.

Sault Tribe should pick a high populated area that has a community for casinos and build a small casino like Bay Mills did.  That to me is where we should put any money we have.  It has some risks, but it is a grey area that ultimately will be decided by a judge.  So far Bay Mills is winning.  And when you consider we have land owed to us by the state because of Charlotte Beach and a recent opinion from the State of Michigan on Bay Mills Vanderbilt casino suggesting Sault Tribe has the right to buy land to use for economical purposes and Bay Mills does not....I believe the Sault Tribe has a better chance of keeping their casino.  I see this as the current best opportunity for our tribe to invest in with a faster return.  Better than the current referendums and probably more safer.  But does the Sault Tribe leadership and their high paid attorneys have enough foresight to finally start interpreting the laws the way we see it, not the way they tell us to see it.
